Dahlia activities

Dahlia mosaic contest in the Bulb Region

Dahlia Mosaic Foundation is hosting a dahlia mosaic contest during the Holland Dahlia Event. More than 100 mosaics are on display, scattered throughout the Bulb Region. We see this event as a special activity in the Bulb Region where accomplishing something together is of great importance. In addition to crafting the mosaics, a bicycle tour will be organized to ride past the mosaics displayed in the Bulb Region. Keukenhof

The estate is freely accessible year-round and covers an area of 238 hectares with 15 national monuments. Keukenhof Castle has a museum function. There is a petting zoo, a restaurant and it offers many opportunities for events. The garden is beautifully landscaped with dahlias in late summer. Worth a look.

CNB dahlia showtuin in Voor hout bij de Tulperij

For many years, CNB has been taking care of the CNB Dahlia Show Garden. First in Heemstede, set up by Hein Schrama and after various locations in the Bollenstreek, now for a number of years at De Tulperij in Voorhout. Here, not only the professional public can enjoy the diversity of the dahlia, but also the consumer can walk around to his heart’s content between the different colours, types and sizes of dahlias. For buyers, growers, breeders, photo studios and other interested parties, visiting the CNB show garden is an activity that you should not miss. The show garden is open from August to the beginning of October.

De Tulperij

From mid-August to early October, you can pick dahlias at De Tulperij.

Come and enjoy and marvel at the colourful splendour at De Tulperij.

Activities and opening days
De Tulperij is open from Monday to Sunday from 9:30 to 17:00. Admission is free.
Would you like to learn more about planting and caring for dahlias? Then book an educational excursion. Afterwards, you can pick dahlias in the picking garden for a fee. From the terrace, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and something tasty with a view of the flowers. In the shop, you can already buy bulbs for spring and for children we have set out an educational treasure hunt with questions about the flowers.
Plenty to do and experience at De Tulperij!

CNB show garden
Since 2019, the CNB dahlia show garden has been at De Tulperij. You can admire more than 600 types of dahlias from the dahlia growers who are affiliated with the CNB. A joy to walk through and marvel at the colours, shapes and names of the dahlias. The CNB connects the world with flower bulbs.

Dahlia Days Nieuwe Niedorp

The coolest dahlia festival of Nieuwe Niedorp. the annual event in Nieuwe Niedorp. during the 3rd weekend of September the green heart of North Holland is filled with mosaics and work pieces. Duijzer Dahlia’s

This year, for the first time, we have a show garden with approximately 400 cultivars
These cultivars partly come from our own nursery, from dahlia enthusiasts from the Facebook group Dahlia opulence and partly from a range from breeder Henk van Eewijk. Duijzer Dahlias is a breeding company located in Breezand. We have decades of experience growing many different types of dahlias. Most dahlias are grown in our own laboratory and grown in the field for sale.

During the HDE we have a show of dahlia arrangements inside the greenhouse. We do this for our customers, but it is also fun for enthusiasts. Our show garden is always open.

Geerlings show and picking garden

We are open every day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm during the flowering time of the dahlias. The flowering period is from mid-August to the end of October. You can then pick your own bouquet of dahlias and enjoy all the varieties planted with us.

Would you like to stay at the nursery, wake up among the dahlias or take a look at the cuttings or harvesting? Experience our company optimally in our guesthouse. Our accommodation has a double bed, bathroom with shower and toilet and a kitchen.
