Keukenhof Dahlia Dagen and Holland Dahlia Event

Keukenhof Dahlia Dagen and Holland Dahlia Event 2021

At Keukenhof Castle we have created a beautiful dahlia garden again this year. We are happy that we can show the dahlia to a wide audience there, just like Keukenhof does in the spring for the tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. We show no fewer than 150 varieties to consumers, colleagues and the press. These have been made available by many breeders, growers and exporters. In this way, together with the Holland Dahlia Event, we ensure a great promotion.

The gardens of Keukenhof Castle are open daily and freely accessible to the public. More than 1,000 visitors a day enjoy the overwhelming splendor of colours.

The highlight of our dahlia garden is the Keukenhof Dahlia Days, from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 September. We would like to officially open the Keukenhof Dahlia Days and the Holland Dahlia Event, together with you. Unfortunately, this is not yet possible due to the corona measures.

As in previous years, we will draw extra attention to the dahlia with various flower sculptures. For example, there will be a large dahlia chair as a selfie moment and three large hearts from the Flower Parade will be stabbed with dahlias. Students of the Clusius College Flower & Design Alkmaar course also make a number of large flower objects in our dahlia garden as an end-of-year project. All these dahlia objects can be viewed via a walking route.

Of course, many visitors come to Keukenhof Castle especially for these Keukenhof Dahlia Days. We invite a lot of press so that there is extra promotion for the dahlia.

The show gardens of Fred de Meulder Export B.V., CNB Showtuin / De Tulperij, FBT Showtuin / The Tulip Barn and Henk van Eeuwijk were also opened during the Holland Dahlia Event.

Many colleagues have already visited the dahlia garden at Keukenhof Castle. If you haven’t been yet, we cordially invite you to visit the dahlia garden at a time that suits you.
