Plan for Dahlia event 2021 has been completed

We have now had 4 successful years of the Holland Dahlia Event. The reach of our campaign has grown enormously in these 4 years and last year we fully focused on the digital interpretation with social media. We have completed the plan for the Holland Dahlia Event for 2021 and are ready for it. The Holland Dahlia Event will take place this year from Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 September 2021.

Due to all the measures surrounding COVID-19, we will be somewhat cautious for the coming summer. For example, we are still in consultation with our project organization and iBulb. We have, however, entered into a partnership with the Clusius College in Alkmaar. Here, a group of about 18 end-of-year students will work in groups on dahlia objects around Keukenhof Castle. The theme that we have given for this is ‘Wedding Fairytale’. This theme fits well in the romantic garden of Keukenhof, where many bridal couples have themselves photographed on the wedding day.

A great opportunity for the students of the ‘Flower & Design’ program to put what they have learned into practice. At Clusius College, green is the basis for a colorful future and it is precisely that Dahlia that can provide the colors!

Furthermore, preparations are in full swing for the planting of the various visiting locations and dahlia show gardens. And we are still working on realizing some mosaics with dahlia flowers. The visiting locations can usually be visited in the period from mid-August to the end of September 2021, with due observance of the measures in force at that time.
